FAW B30 - front-wheel drive B-class sedan. The production model was presented in September 2015 at the Chengdu Auto Show. Sales in China started in November of the same year.

The development of the B30 model has been carried out since 2013, and FAW took the platform of the four-door Volkswagen Bora for the Chinese market as a basis, which, in turn, was created on the same platform as the VW Golf IV generation with the addition of some design solutions of a more modern Volkswagen “trolley” PQ35 and FAW's own modifications.

As a result, the car received a MacPherson strut front suspension and a rear torsion beam. The choice of the base of the German auto giant is explained by the long-term cooperation of the two companies - the FAW-Volkswagen joint venture has been successfully producing cars from the Volkswagen Group's portfolio for China since 1991.

Under the hood of the FAW B30 is a 1.6-liter gasoline aspirated engine under the CA4GB16 index. This is FAW's own engine, which is also found on the X40 crossover, although its pedigree has links to the Volkswagen engine for Chinese models. The power unit develops 109 hp. at 5500 rpm and 155 Nm at 3800 rpm. On the B30 sedan, it is combined with a 5-speed "mechanics" and a 6-speed "automatic" of the famous Japanese company AISIN. In the first case, the declared fuel consumption in the combined cycle is 6.4 l / 100 km, and in the two-pedal version - 6.7 l / 100 km.

In Ukraine, the FAW B30 sedan began to be sold in October 2019.
